What is a domain name?
A domain name is the address you type into your browser to visit a website, like example.es. Thanks to a domain name, you don’t have to remember a complex IP address; you can reach a website with a clear and recognizable name.

How to choose a good domain name
Choose a name that is short, clear, and easy to remember. Use words people can spell without difficulty.
Also think about the extension (TLD) behind the name: .es makes sense for Spanish websites, .com is international, and other TLDs like .org, .shop, or .online can show the purpose of your site.
Pick a name and TLD that match your audience and the goal of your website.

Registering a domain name – Step by step

1. Go to mymundo.com.
2. Enter the domain name you want in the search bar. You don’t need to add the TLD yet.
   
   
3. You’ll now see if the domain is available and which TLDs (e.g., .es) you can choose.
   You can add multiple domain names or different TLDs to your order by clicking Add to cart.
   
   
4. Added everything you need? Click Continue at the bottom of the page.
    
5. Do you already have an account? Enter your email address and password.
   Don’t have an account? Click Create an Account and fill in your details.
   
   Are you registering a domain name for business use? Then select the option for a company account. This checkbox is located above the Register & continue button.
   
   
6. To secure your account, you’ll receive a verification code by email. Enter this code on the next page and click Validate.
   Note: The code is valid for 15 minutes. The email is titled “Your verification code - Mymundo” and comes from [e-mail].
   
   
7. You get to a page with all the payment info. Enter your DNI/NIE/NIF code and complete your order.
   
   

8. Your domain will now be registered. You’ll receive a confirmation email and you can find your domain in My account.
